Capturing local support service information

We were asked by:

Blackburn Council

to consider the digital gap of:

Capturing local community service information with little effort and expertise required and getting it into a digital format so that it could be found by a resident indicating where they live and their needs.

our proposed solution:

Volunteers will be able to take photos of community service flyers and register them on a map using their smart phones. If a flyer doesn’t exist then the volunteer would simply use a marker pen to create one then photo it. Each flier is registered with basic information aligning to the LGA model and can then be found on a simple service finder.

This is complementary to the Placecube product which assures the full LGA open data schema.

resulting product:

Still in development, likely to be available in the summer 2019.
